Art – curriculum information

‘Creativity and imagination is at the heart of all learning at Clifton. We feel that all pupils have the opportunity and artistic potential to shape and enrich our whole learning environment.

We want pupils to appreciate the diversity and richness of traditions in art and will ensure that our children are given the opportunity to appreciate the creative works of artists, designers and crafts people.

We will offer pupils visits to local galleries and richer experiences so that they can understand and celebrate how the arts have developed across time and place. We will celebrate and share children’s artistic work with our school community and beyond through displays and exhibitions.’
